I was born in 1983 in Muscat Oman and raised all over the world as a child of expats. Now living in Den Haag, the Netherlands. I discovered street photography by chance in the fall of 2016 as I was walking around town trying out a new lens for an old camera I had. A camera I hadn’t touched in years. I knew little to nothing about street photography back then, all I knew is that I had to go back and do it again. Since then, not a single week has gone by that I haven't been out on the streets photographing.
Capturing and collecting moments from the lives of total strangers has become quite an obsession. I can walk the streets with my camera for hours on end and completely lose myself in some sort of meditative and intuitive state of mind. The challenge of finding something interesting (to me) in the most mundane moments and often having just a split second to fit it perfectly in the frame is really exciting. I love not knowing what will present itself or with what images I will come home with.
